As a traditional classroom teacher, I keep written data just because it’s easier for me, more accessible and a quick and easy way for me to find out which questions the students missed. However we have an electronic grade book which maintains gives general information such as mean and median averages and if the test questions are put in the system, then it will produce some information as to which questions were missed the most and the performance of each of the students.
As an online teacher I would use all of the resources available to maintain data. I would use Live Binders, Edmodo and Blackboard the most because they are most efficient in maintaining the data.
Rubrics are great tools when grading because they give a clear understanding of what is expected for a certain project or task. As a foreign language teacher I use rubrics when i assign major projects, in class projects and presentations.

Teachers need to have as much information as possible about their students, everything from grades from other courses, performance scores on standardized tests, and end of course testing to parent information and the demographics because all of these factors can affect the performance of the student in your class.
My current school uses power teacher by pearson to maintain all of the information about the students including standardized scores and demographics. It also has teacher comments from previous years which can be obtained at an administrator level.
As a teacher, I like to know my students so I can have an idea of where they come from however I don’t use this information to judge the student before they come to my class.
As a traditional classroom teacher I give my students end of unit and lesson tests however before those tests I also give them performance summative tests. I have students do small projects in which they need to present it in class in Spanish and a grading rubric is used that I create using RubiStar. Some of the projects that I have assigned measure the understanding of the spanish language, grammar understanding, culture understanding and sentence structure. When the students are presenting their project, pronunciation is measured and the understanding of the words being presented.
When I assign the project, I give the students a detailed description of the project complete with steps so they can track their progress and the steps they need to follow to get to the end product. When we work in class, I give time limit in each section so they can keep better track of their time and where they should be by a specific time.
Projects I have assigned:
Todo Sobre mi- Spanish I- students have to use adjectives, the verb ser, the verb gustar to describe themselves, they need to illustrate each section and then they need to present themselves to class.
Comicas- Spanish II and Spanish III- they create a comic strip about the favorite teachers. The students need to use all of the spanish they have learned to include all of the tenses of the verbs and the subjunctive. It needs to be illustrated and then presented to the class. This is done as a group. The presentation can be a traditional presentation or they can do a skit.
I am still a traditional classroom teacher so my feedback is usually on paper on a rubric chart. I create rubric charts from http://rubistar.4teachers.org/index.php which are free and they can be customized to your specifications. In my Spanish class, we do a lot of presentations of cultures around the world. A project that I usually do is that I assign each student a country with a set of questions of things to research. The research then needs to be presented in a power point or prezi and then they need to present that to the class.
For presentations: I provide feedback on presentation of the subject, the presentation material, grammar and appearance.

This is a short quiz I created for a short cultural reading that students would listen to and watch the clip through the classzone website and then they would go to my edmodo and take the quiz.
In my classroom the following would work best:
- Live Binder- http://www.livebinders.com/shelf/my- I can easily organize my classes in each live binder that is available to the students via a code, they can leave comments and to the work and turn it in. Live Binders organizes everything neatly.
- Edmodo- https://www.edmodo.com/home#/- post assignments that students can easily access, do them and then turn them in through edmodo. Also I can post other things about my class.
